WABI-SABI of Mixology
WABI and SABI are words from the realm of Japanese aesthetics which mean natural beauty, transience, simplicity,
deepness, elegance. We invite you to the extraordinary world of the Wabi-Sabi of Mixology as taught by Gen Yamamoto,
manager of ZEN Lounge in Teaneck, NJ and FreshFruitMartini.com.
Come learn the unique but simple set of basic mixing ideas and skills that one needs to create truly outstanding
cocktails. Four hands on classes will be held this upcoming Summer 2008 season. All classes introduce how to make
the standard, most common cocktails through world class mixology lessons.
The Gin & Tonic consists of gin, tonic water, and lime. But one also needs ice cubes, the proper glass, and an
appealing presentation. What is the true nature of the Gin & Tonic? What role does the ice play in its perfection? What
is the best glass to use for this cocktail? These and other seemingly simple but very important cocktail making matters
will be addressed in the classes that you take. Basic knowledge makes outstanding cocktails and basic knowledge will
help you build your future signature cocktail creations.
Time: 7:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M.
Fee: $45 per class
